Our 30^th president Calvin Coolidge once said, “If good men don’t hold office, bad men will.” And yet we find that many times many Christians avoid politics or the law profession, and the like because it’s too world. But there’s a new effort by the group Christians Engaged to encourage believers to essentially get out into the wider culture, engage in public service, in order “to fill the leadership vacuum.” Bunni Pounds, founder and president of Christians Engaged, has produced a new 8-part curriculum series entitled, “Salt and Light: How to Impact Our Local Communities.
