Podcast with Dr. Greg Seltz—Is the Government the Solution or (Sometimes) the Problem?

Topic: Government—the Solution or the Problem?

Recently, in a column I wrote warning against socialism: NYC Mayor-elect Mamdani sees big government as the solution. He said, “We will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve, and no concern too small for it to care about.” Instead, I agree with President Reagan, who viewed government as often to be the problem, not the solution, to problems. Our 40th president said the scariest words to ever hear are, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.” Is government the solution or the problem or is there a position in between?  Dr. Gregory P. Seltz, the speaker emeritus of the Lutheran Hour, serves as the executive director of the Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty in Washington, D. C. Dr. Greg Seltz and Jerry Newcombe discuss this topic. www.lcrlfreedom.org
