Or, for those of us who have forgotten our Roman Numerals, July 4, 1776, making this year, 2017 (MMXVII) the 241st anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. I find numbers interesting so let’s discuss July 4th by the numbers.
Memorial Day, originally known as Decoration Day, began shortly after the Civil War. General John A. Logan, a leader of Northern veterans, called for a nationwide day of remembrance, and May 30, 1868 was designated.
