Charlie Kirk was a great Christian man. I was privileged to interview him and to be interviewed by him. Here’s an interview I did with him in the summer of 2024. -JN-Our prayers are with his family and the movement he has begun.

Before each great political transformation in American life, there was first a great religious transformation. Historian and Providence Forum president Jerry Newcombe joins Charlie to explain how the moral revolution of the First Great Awakening paved the way for the American Revolution and Constitution, and how the spiritual revolt against slavery then drove abolition in the 1800s. Dr. Newcombe then debunks the myths about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and what they really believed about God, the church, and government.

On October 14, 2025, what would have been Charlie Kirk’s birthday, I got to speak in Ft. Lauderdale at an event to honor Charlie’s memory. Jack Gillies, co-leader of the old Ft. Lauderdale Tea Party movement, organized this. Also speaking were Lauren Cooley and a gentleman named Emmanuel—both of whom used to work for Charlie Kirk. Local artist Robert Kolhanen had painted a beautiful picture of Charlie Kirk.
