Podcast with Abby Sexton on Getting Young People to Engage in Culture as Christians

Topic: Recruiting Young Christian People for Christian Engagement.

If we are going to turn America around, we need young Christian people to actively engage in the public square. One group that is working on recruiting young people for Christian involvement is “Christians Engaged.” Abby Sexton is the head of the 1630 Project. When I first about this name, I thought perhaps the 1630 in the title referred to the year in which John Winthrop led hundreds of Puritans to the New World, where they founded Boston, and he declared, “For we must consider that we shall be as a City Upon a Hill. The eyes of all the world are upon us.” But apparently the 1630 Group refers to reaching young adults, ages 16-30 to take the next step in civic involvement and biblical understanding. Abby Sexton of Christians Engaged joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss recruiting young people to help turn America around. www.christiansengaged.org
