Podcast with Attorney Jonathan Hullihan on a Case Study of Opposition to the Constitution
Topic: Opposition to the Constitution—a Case Study.
America is governed, theoretically, by the Constitution of the United States. Yet amazingly, some on the left seem to be at war against America as constituted, that they sometimes go against the document itself. One liberal commentator called the Constitution trash—on national television, no less. Consider this example of an anti-Constitution that happened a couple of years ago, but it didn’t make much press. September 17 is Constitution Day—commemorating the day in 1787, when the framers signed the document. So, around 9/17 of 2023, some patriotic Americans set out to distribute little pocket copies of our nation’s governing document. And they ran into official opposition from some public school officials. Thankfully, a conservative legal group intervened, and the constitution copies were allowed to be distributed after all. But the opposition doesn’t make sense—they seemed to be acting as if the Constitution was unconstitutional, at least in the public schools. Attorney Jonathan Hullihan of the Remnant Law Firm, the legal defender of the Constitution in this case, joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss this story. www.remnantlawfirm.com
