Podcast with Bishop E.W. Jackson on Crime in Washington, D.C.
Topic: Safety in Our Nation’s Capital.
The Constitution stipulates one of the main purposes of the federal government is to ensure common defense. How can we celebrate “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” if we’re being overrun by crime. President Trump has now deployed the National Guard in D.C. to help stem the tide of runaway crime in our nation’s capital. Bishop E.W. Jackson supports this move. He said, “Most of these crimes are being committed by black teenagers. The out of wedlock birth rate in the black community is 77%. Black teenagers in DC mostly grow up without a father in the home. This is the long-term problem that is feeding crime. The criminal justice system comes along and says it’s unfair to punish them because they are black ‘victims’ of racism or a lack of ‘racial justice.’ It is the perfect formula for creating a generation of monsters with no respect for human life.” Bishop E.W. Jackson joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss these issues. www.standamerica.us
