Podcast with Col. John Eidsmoe on Celebrating the Pilgrims—August 2024

Topic: Celebrating the Pilgrims.

Dennis Prager of PragerU once said that the Pilgrims founded America for all intents and purposes. They certainly set the trajectory of so many of the positive aspects of the future nation. The Mayflower Compact they wrote and signed began the whole process of writing up an agreement for self-government under God, which culminated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution 150 years later. In early August 2024, in order to celebrate the Pilgrims’ legacy, Plymouth Rock Foundation and Coral Ridge Ministries headed by Dr. Robert J. Pacienza, will be holding a special weekend of events, beginning on August 2 with an informative bus tour with historic stops on the way through Cape Cod. The day will culminate with a celebration of the Pilgrims, including authentic music from the era, and a message from John Eidsmoe. On Saturday will be a celebration of the Forefathers Monument which was unveiled 135 years ago from this year. Dr. Jerry Newcombe will speak briefly at the monument, and the main speaker will be David Bradford, a direct descendant of Gov. William Bradford. On Sunday at the New Testament Church (senior pastor, Paul Jehle, president of Plymouth Rock Foundation) will have Dr. Robert J. Pacienza speaking on a City on a Hill…Righteousness Exalts a Nation. John Eidsmoe joins Jerry Newcombe on this radio podcast to describe the Pilgrims’ legacy and this special event to honor their memory. www.plymrock.org/events.
