Podcast with Commentator Jeff Crouere on the Trump Presidency So Far
Topic: Trump’s Presidency So Far.
The Constitution carefully divides power between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Article 2 spells out the duties of the president. The Constitution says, “Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—’I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’” Some presidents are more consequential than others. Where does Donald J. Trump fit in that category? Writing for Townhall.com, commentator Jeff Crouere, notes: “In the first one hundred days of his second term, Trump received 92% negative coverage by the three major broadcast networks. This is typical of his media coverage since he descended the ‘golden escalator.’ Despite non-stop hateful treatment, President Trump received a 53% approval rating from the American people in the latest Rasmussen poll. Obviously, the American people admire a tenacious President who rises from being shot to yell, ‘Fight, Fight, Fight.’” To discuss the 45th and 47th president, Jeff Crouere joins Jerry Newcombe. www.crouere.net
