Podcast with Dr. Peter Lillback on America at 250 (in 2026)
Topic: Celebrating America at 250.
On July 4, 2026, the United States will be celebrating its 250th birthday. Will it be “morning in America” or will it be “mourning in America”? Some Americans gnash their teeth at such an anniversary because they view this nation as inherently evil from the beginning. For example, they point out that at the beginning of our nation, there was slavery, and it wasn’t eradicated immediately. But the counter-argument to that is: Not only was there slavery virtually all over the world, but the framework the founders built was predicated on the idea that God has created us equal and endowed us with our rights. Thus, one the premise of July 4, 1776 was accepted, slavery’s days in this nation were numbered. And it was done away with. Dr. Peter Lillback is the founding president of Providence Forum, and he generously donated that ministry (which is educating Americans on this nation’s godly heritage) to Coral Ridge Ministries. By the grace of God, I have the privilege to head up Providence Forum. Dr. Peter Lillback joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss America at 250. www.providenceforum.org
