Lately, there seems to be a trend where Christians who teach about American history, and especially the role of the Bible and God in America’s founding are being marginalized as “Christian nationalists,” whatever that means. But what are the facts of history? Our topic right now is the struggle to teach authentic American history is neither a whitewash nor an exercise in cancel culture. Historian Jane Hampton Cook is doing her part to help young Americans rediscover our history and how exciting it is. She has just recently released a series of patriotic children’s books, called “Revolutionary Readers for America’s 250^th.” Jane Hampton Cook has worked in the White House and written books for adults as well.
