How can we have a country with open borders? Do the principles of the Constitution get undermined by allowing massive groups of illegal immigrants to pour in without common sense restraints on the part of our government? Meanwhile, some Republican governors have been shipping illegals, with their signed permission, to “sanctuary” cities, such as New York City or Washington, D.C. or Martha’s Vineyard—and those places throw a fit. Jarrett Stepman of the Heritage Foundation has written a piece on this for the Daily Signal. He writes, “These so-called sanctuary cities have reacted to a few busloads of asylum-seekers with extreme hysterics. Shouldn’t they be happy that asylum-seekers are showing up in their neighborhoods? After all, so many New York and Washington, D.C., neighborhoods put up signs saying that ‘all are welcome, no exceptions’ and ‘refugees welcome.’….
