It’s fascinating to think that some people in our culture have so little regard for veterans, those who have served in our country to keep us free, that some veterans are almost treated as if they are pesky, as if they are somehow intruders to our “pursuit of happiness.” But wait a minute. Our God-given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as mentioned in the Declaration of Independence are maintained by those who serve in the military to keep our nation free. One man who does a lot to keep banging the drum on veteran’s issues is Michael Reagan, the son of Ronald Reagan, our 40th president.
