Podcast with NRB President Troy Miller on Increasing Biblical Literacy
Topic: Increasing Biblical Literacy.
When America was founded, the Bible was ubiquitous—in virtually every home. And it was read also. When John Winthrop, the Puritan leader who founded Boston, said, they wanted to create a city on a hill, virtually all his hearers knew he was quoting Jesus in the Bible. Fast forward to today, and we see a problem of widespread Biblical illiteracy. In fact, a new study confirms that notion that many Americans (even professing Christians) don’t know the Scriptures. Troy Miller, the president of the National Religious Broadcasters (the NRB)—a group working to increase Biblical literacy, joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss this issue. www.nrb.org
