Podcast with Stephen McDowell on Colonial Williamsburg
Topic: Colonial Williamsburg.
For anyone willing to look at the facts, we see that America has a rich Christian heritage. For example, we can see that in Colonial Williamsburg, which is not far from Jamestown. Jamestown was the first permanent British settlement in North America. That was in 1607. The first thing they did was to plant the cross on the newly discovered land and dedicate it to the Lord. In the Jamestown church was where the Virginia legislature began meeting in 1619, the first legislature in British North America. It opened in prayer. But what about Colonial Williamsburg? Stephen McDowell is the co-founder of the Providence Foundation (not to be confused with Providence Forum). Stephen McDowell is an author and tour guide on America’s Christian roots. Stephen McDowell joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss America’s Christian heritage, as seen in Colonial Williamsburg. www.providencefoundation.com
