Podcast with William J. Murray on Endowed by the Creator
At one time, Madelyn Murray O’Hair was America’s best-known atheist. She won one of the key anti-school prayer cases at the Supreme Court. Her son, William J. Murray, who was 14 at the time, was the plaintiff in the case. But William later became a Christian and even wrote a classic book, My Life Without God. Fast forward to today, and Murray is fighting for religious liberty, especially for persecuted Christians in other countries, such as Nigeria. Our nation’s birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence, makes the point that we are endowed by our Creator with our rights—they are not a gift from the government, but from God. William J. Murray joins Jerry Newcombe to tell his own story from atheism to Christianity and why God is important to America (and to every nation for that matter). www.religiousfreedomcoalition.org
