Introducing John Kenyon

Providence Forum is pleased to announce that John Kenyon has joined us as Director of Strategic Initiatives following 31 years as an officer in the US Air Force where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. John will be directing the development of cooperative initiatives and outreach to military and government entities, as well as church and para-church organizations to further advance the mission of the Providence Forum.

John’s military service covered a wide spectrum in the tactical, operational and strategic levels. His first 10 years saw him serving as a navigator assigned to B-52 bomber and C-130 transport aircraft with duties that included instructor and tactics officer positions. He then served in the AF Chaplain Corps for over 20 years. During this time, he served as the senior chaplain leading the religious and spiritual care of 3 different bases around the world totaling over 11,000 military personnel and garnered three Air Force level Chaplain Awards during that time. He has also served in several special duty assignments: Arlington National Cemetery, the office of the Air Force Chief of Chaplains as an Intern, a student with the Air Force Institute of Technology, and as a faculty member educating and training Chaplain Corps personnel at the AF Chaplain Corps College. He is ordained by the Presbyterian Church of America and holds two Masters Degrees of Divinity and Sacred Theology and currently is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry Degree with Westminster Theological Seminary.
