Podcast with Cheryl Chumley on Why Belief in God Matters

Topic: Why Belief in God Matters.

The founders of America wrote in the Declaration of Independence that God is the source of our rights. But we know today that many Americans don’t believe in God. However, I will quickly note that Dr. Byron Johnson of Baylor, who is one of the greatest church-pollsters in our time, has often pointed out that only about 4% of Americans are out-and-out atheists. Nonetheless, we know that atheism and unbelief have great influence today, in the schools, in the media, in government, and so on. Author Cheryl Chumley writes for the Washington Times, and she herself is a former atheist. The author of a few books, now she has written a novel called, Chloe. The book is recommended by Mike Huckabee, Troy Miller of the NRB, Cal Thomas, Todd Starnes, who writes: “Cheryl Chumley has established herself as one of the top non-fiction writers in America. With Chloe, she is about to conquer the world of fiction. What a powerful, well-crafted story.” Cheryl Chumley joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss her personal odyssey from atheism to faith and why belief in the Lord does matter. www.cherylchumley.com
