Podcast with Dr. Greg Seltz of the LCRL on Christians and Politics
Topic: The Church and Politics.
We hear so often today that the church and politics don’t mix. We do know that the founders of America wrote the First Amendment, which said, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Historically, that was understood to mean there would be no national denomination lording it over the other denominations. Should Christians be involved in the political process? Dr. Gregory P. Seltz, the executive director of the Lutheran Center for Religious Liberty, fights for religious liberty in America out of his Washington, D.C.-based office. Dr. Gregory Seltz, the speaker emeritus on the Lutheran Hour, joins Jerry Newcombe to discuss the church and politics.
